Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation that removes the surface dead skin cells and vellus hair from the face. This form of exfoliation smooths the skin and allows for the active ingredients in skincare products and treatments to penetrate deeper into the skin furthering their anti-aging benefits. Giving you Glowing, Healthy Skin.

Contradictions to this treatment, including but not limited to diabetes, cancer, active acne, bleeding disorders, and the inability for blood to coagulate following injury. Certain medications including blood thinners, higher doses of Aspirin, and Accutane are contraindicated for this treatment due to increased sensitivity and/or the possibility of delayed clotting from a nick or cut.

This treatment involves the use of a surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair. As with the use of any sharp instruments, there is a possibility of nicks or cuts. While every precaution is taken, this unlikely situation may occur.

What to expect after Dermaplaing?

Skin May be sensitive, Light sun burn feeling may occur. Please avoid heat, saunas, pools, hot tubs and sweaty activity, exposure to direct sunlight within for 24 48 hours; this includes exercise of any kind. Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, retinol, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.) for 24-48 hours after treatment.

Mental Health is important. Silence is key. Having a bad day and not feeling like having a conversation is normal and 100% understandable, also it can be daunting to be in a room with someone you’ve never met or hardly know for over an hour, A silent appointment is an appointment with little or no talking from you or your esthetician.

The appointment would begin with discussing what you want out of your service and after that.. silence. No feeling of unwanted conversation or awkwardness. No questions asked!

The Browtender Studio loves children and can be considered a kid friendly place, this is what sets The Browtender Studio aside from other places of business. However, children need to be behaved, seated and remain quiet while Crystal and her Independent Renters are servicing their clients.

Due to recent events , our kids policy has changed. The Browtender Studio is now home to many NEW Private/Independent Renters. Please limit the amount of children being brought into the studio (unless they are receiving a service) this way, other business at our NEW location can work efficiently, as they are paying rent to conduct their business out of The Browtender Studio.

As a mother, I (Crystal) understand having someone watching your children isn’t always an option, if you have to bring your kid(s) to your appointment, please make sure they are behaved and supervised. They break something, you buy it. My goal is to have the best experience for all clients and most importantly the safety of those clients and their children.

Browtender is not responsible for any unwatched and unattended children and any incidents that may occur while they are in the studio.

We ALL run our Schedules by appointment only times, one after the other. Time is a very important factor and having to stop and attended to your child (multiple times) unfortunately stops our time and pushes us outside of our other appointment slots and it becomes a domino effect that could mess up the rest of our day, this is not fair to you, me or our other clients and their scheduled times.

No, Browtender does not currently offer permanent makeup of any kind. However, we do offer custom/ tiny tattoos by our talented Esthetician Desi! Book with her, you won’t regret it!
