A little about myself

I’m Crystal Swinder, I am the Owner of The Browtender Studio!

Our Mission Statement is: “Our Aesthetic is Esthetics”

I am a professional, licensed Esthetician that has been practicing Esthetics for over 11+ years. I am also a wife of a Baltimore County Firefighter/ EMT and mother to two beautiful girls, Martie & Andie.

I mainly specialize in eyebrows and body waxing, however I offer many other Esthetic services here at Browtender. In addition to being licensed professional, I am a 5x certified Lamination Brow Artist.

I earned my Estheticians license at Steiner institute of Esthetics, now currently Cortiva institute back in 2014. Graduating top of my class with excellence. I started right away and worked for ULTA Beauty and put in my dues for 3+ years as a Benefit Brow Artist. I won multiple contest and awards, including 1 of 7 north american winners for the prestigious GLAMbassador award.

I wanted to do more with my career, so I took a leap and left ULTA Beauty. In 2017 I decided to open my own Business and BROWTENDER, LLC was born. I’ve since then became a Satin Smooth waxing educator, I traveled all over, waxing, learning and networking with the best in the Business.

In 2020 I opened up The Browtender Studio. The Covid19 pandemic hit us hard, I had to close down my brand new studio for 3+ months, despite the hardship I winded up winning Baltimore Readers Choice Award for Best Waxing in 2020. I won again 2021, and runner up for 2023. I have since then gained and personally trained all of the Browtender Estheticians. It is a joy and a pleasure to watch these beautiful ladies grow and develop their skills. Our team is pure of heart and our clients are family.

This place is my second home, I decorated and designed everything in it from top to bottom. I poured my blood, sweat and tears (mostly happy tears) in this place. The Studio and the people in it mean so much to me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
