What’s a Silent Appointment?

Mental Health is important. Silence is key. Having a bad day and not feeling like having a conversation is normal and 100% understandable, also it can be daunting to be in a room with someone you’ve never met or hardly know for over an hour, A silent appointment is an appointment with little or no talking from you or your esthetician.

The appointment would begin with discussing what you want out of your service and after that.. silence. No feeling of unwanted conversation or awkwardness. No questions asked!

Who is it for? It’s for anyone who simply wants to relax and enjoy the quiet and the service without conversation on either end.

How do you schedule it? When you schedule your appointment, You will be oped to select yes or no to our “silent appointment” questionnaire. We will be happy to respect your wishes.

Sometimes after a long day some quiet time is not only needed but necessary.

Cancellation/Late Policy

You will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment starts. Otherwise, you will be charged 50% of service price for late cancellations and 100% for no shows + a 3% transaction fee. This includes modifying your appointment to a shorten service, we strategically time our your appointments (down to the minute) and this can cause a huge inconvenience for us and the clients that could have scheduled in that spot. Thank you for understanding

* You can ONLY cancel/ reschedule outside of the 24 hour mark on your own.. to cancel WITHIN 24 hours of your appointment, you'll have to contact your Esthetician performing your service directly by phone call or text.

*Note Cancelling on social media is not a proper or professional way to contact your esthetician. If you cancel on Instagram/ Facebook or things alike, it will still be considered a no contact/no show and you will be charged. Please simply send your Esthetician an E-Mail/ a text or phone call.

Please remember, failure to cancel will be considered a 100% no-show fee and possibly blocked from scheduling for future appointments.

*Canceling within 2 hours of your appointment time will result in 100% no show fee, as we will be unable to fill your appointment spot in such short notice. The Browtender Studio hopes you can understand as we run on a ¨ By appointment ONLY ¨ schedule.*

Please acknowledge that your appointment will be cut short of its time and or may be canceled entirely (resulting in the full no show amount) There may be a small possibility that you may still be able to be seen.. this decision will be based entirely on your Estheticians availability and schedule. What is Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation that removes the surface dead skin cells and vellus hair from the face. This form of exfoliation smooths the skin and allows for the active ingredients in skincare products and treatments to penetrate deeper into the skin furthering their anti-aging benefits. Giving you Glowing, Healthy Skin.

Contradictions to this treatment, including but not limited to diabetes, cancer, active acne, bleeding disorders, and the inability for blood to coagulate following injury. Certain medications including blood thinners, higher doses of Aspirin, and Accutane are contraindicated for this treatment due to increased sensitivity and/or the possibility of delayed clotting from a nick or cut.

This treatment involves the use of a surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair. As with the use of any sharp instruments, there is a possibility of nicks or cuts. While every precaution is taken, this unlikely situation may occur.

What to expect after Dermaplaing?

Skin May be sensitive, Light sun burn feeling may occur. Please avoid heat, saunas, pools, hot tubs and sweaty activity, exposure to direct sunlight within for 24 48 hours; this includes exercise of any kind. Avoid products containing any exfoliating agents (retinoic acid, retinol, tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, astringents, etc.) for 24-48 hours after treatment.

What is Browtender Lamination?

Lamination keeps your brows looking stunning and healthy and unlike permanent brow tattooing Eyebrow Lift is absolutely pain free. Thuya product is applied to the eyebrow hairs creating a chemical reaction on the hair lifting them up. The brow is shaped and then tinted. The treatment lasts approximately four weeks and does not use ink or a permanent process whatsoever.

cash is the preferred payment method, however we accept Apple Pay, Venmo. Zelle and all debit and credit cards

I can’t find an appointment on Crystal’s Schedule, is that a mistake?

Fortunately Browtender is booming and clients have been amazing and loyal, if a month shows up “no appointments for this month” it is because the month is booked SOLID (appointment’s open 90 days in advance on a rolling basis). Keep an eye on instagram (@browtender) for new openings and cancelations, and check browtender.com for new openings daily.

What is your policy on children?

The Browtender Studio loves children and can be considered a kid friendly place, this is what sets The Browtender Studio aside from other places of business. However, children need to be behaved, seated and remain quiet while Crystal and her Independent Renters are servicing their clients.

Due to recent events , our kids policy has changed. The Browtender Studio is now home to many NEW Private/Independent Renters. Please limit the amount of children being brought into the studio (unless they are receiving a service) this way, other business at our NEW location can work efficiently, as they are paying rent to conduct their business out of The Browtender Studio.

As a mother, I (Crystal) understand having someone watching your children isn’t always an option, if you have to bring your kid(s) to your appointment, please make sure they are behaved and supervised. They break something, you buy it. My goal is to have the best experience for all clients and most importantly the safety of those clients and their children.

Browtender is not responsible for any unwatched and unattended children and any incidents that may occur while they are in the studio.

We ALL run our Schedules by appointment only times, one after the other. Time is a very important factor and having to stop and attended to your child (multiple times) unfortunately stops our time and pushes us outside of our other appointment slots and it becomes a domino effect that could mess up the rest of our day, this is not fair to you, me or our other clients and their scheduled times.

Warning* There are many hot surfaces here at The Browtender Studio. Wax pots, candles and candle warmers, loose objects such as decorations and retail products.

Food/Drinks :The Studio offers complimentary snacks as well as hot and cold refreshments, This may include complimentary wine or alcoholic beverages ( must be 21 or older) **IMPORTANT! - some food and drinks may contain ingredients that could cause an allergic reaction, i.e gluten or peanuts, ect.

Do you offer permanent makeup?

No, Browtender does not currently offer permanent makeup of any kind. However If you click the “referral” tab on the main page, you will find information regarding a very talented lady named Hannah. Tell her Browtender sent you!

What is a Jessner Peel?

Why do I not remove the Professional Jessner Solution?
Professional Jessner Solution is one of the GlyMed Plus peels that is self-neutralizing, meaning it will stop working within a specific time frame.

I read that GlyMed Plus recommends advising the client to drink 6-8 glasses of water after the treatment. Why?
Because Professional Jessner Solution can get into the bloodstream, it is possible if the client is ill, tired, hungry, and etc. that they may get lightheaded from the treatment. Drinking lots of water helps flush the products out of the system more quickly, eliminating this effect.

I have seen other Jessner formulas on the market that are called “modified” or “non-resorcinol.” What is the difference?
GlyMed Plus incorporates the formula originally developed by Dr. Max Jessner, which incorporates 14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid, and 14% resorcinol. Some companies have chosen to change the formula either by reducing the percentages of ingredients or taking out significant ingredients.

• Is this product safe for pregnant or breastfeeding moms?
  No, it is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding to receive chemical treatments.
