Hello! My name is Crystal Swinder, I am the Owner of The Browtender Studio and professional, licensed Esthetician that has been practicing Esthetics for over 10+ years. Where “Our Aesthetic is Esthetics” I am also a wife of a NEW Baltimore County Firefighter/ EMT and mother to two beautiful girls, Martie (4) and Andie (3)
I Specialize in eyebrows and body waxing, however I offer many other Esthetic services here at Browtender. In addition to being licensed professional, I am a 5x certified Lamination Brow Artist.
I earned my Estheticians license at Steiner institute of Esthetics, now currently Cortiva institute back in 2014. Graduating top of my class with excellence. I started right away and worked for ULTA Beauty and put in my dues for 3+ years as a Benefit Brow Artist. I won multiple contest and awards, including 1 of 7 north american winners for the prestigious GLAMbassador award.
I wanted to do more with my career, so I branched out in 2017 and started Browtender LLC, since then I have created a name brand for myself. I have two US trademarks ¨Browtender¨ and “A babe with a passion for waxin’” ™.
I also became a Satin Smooth waxing educator, I traveled all over, waxing, learning and networking with the best in the Biz. In 2020 I opened up the The Browtender Studio. The Covid19 pandemic hit us hard, I had to close down my brand new studio for 3+ months, despite the hardship I winded up winning Baltimore Readers Choice Award for Best Waxing in 2020. I won again 2021, and runner up for 2023.
This place is my second home, I decorated and designed everything in it from top to bottom. I poured my blood, sweat and tears (mostly happy tears) in this place. The Studio and the people in it mean so much to me. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. After attending Robert Paul academy she apprenticed in a salon for two years before beginning her career as a stylist. By utilizing her technical knowledge and attention to detail she specializes in color corrections, balayage, vivid color application, and hair extensions. Angela also offers precision hair cuts for all. She values listening and consulting with her clients to ensure she is focusing on all of their needs, and loves to keep up with the latest techniques, always improving upon her skill.
